The bond of protection
Raksha Bandhan — literally "the tie of protection" — is one of India's most loved festivals, celebrating the timeless bond between brothers and sisters. In the epic Mahabharata, Draupadi tore a piece of her sari to bind Krishna's wounded wrist, and Krishna vowed to protect her in return.
