The Process and the Purity

Exploring the Process of Purification

The Definition and Importance of the Process of Purification

The process of purification is essential for removing unwanted substances to achieve a higher state of clarity, cleanliness, or spiritual wholeness. This process plays a crucial role across various fields such as water treatment, chemical refining, and even personal development. Understanding the steps involved helps highlight its importance in promoting health, safety, and integrity. By focusing on how impurities are eliminated, we can appreciate the science and philosophy behind purification, which ultimately ensures quality and effectiveness in many applications.

Common Methods Used in the Process of Purification

There are several methods employed during the process of purification, each tailored to specific needs and contexts. Techniques like filtration, distillation, and chemical treatment are widely used to separate contaminants from pure substances. In spiritual or mental contexts, purification might involve practices such as meditation or cleansing rituals. Selecting the right method depends on the nature of the impurities and the desired level of purity. Understanding these approaches provides insight into how purification transforms raw inputs into refined, usable forms.

Benefits and Outcomes Achieved Through Purification

The outcomes of undergoing the process of purification extend beyond simply removing impurities. Purification improves the quality, safety, and usability of materials or environments. In practical scenarios, purified water or chemicals meet health standards and support sustainability. On a personal or spiritual level, purification leads to enhanced mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall wellness. These benefits demonstrate why purification processes are indispensable, contributing to better outcomes in science, industry, and everyday life.

Lavender and Lavandin

Plants of Provence

The past, the present and the future. For us, the history of Le Chatelard begins with Lavender and Lavandin, more than regional plants, they constitute a real culture, a know-how, our identity. Thus, it is important to us to sublimate these flowers in all their forms, by guaranteeing their origin Made In Provence and their quality.

Essential Oils

Nature as an Ally

Known and recognised for many years, essential oils are natural ingredients with proven virtues. These reasons have led us to offer them for cosmetic applications according to the needs sought. They are also used in the composition of many of our body, face and home care products.

Vegetable Oils

Support for Our Products

Less well known than their cousins, essential oils, vegetable oils have just as many advantages. As natural fats, they have softening and soothing properties, for example. We have therefore enriched our cosmetics and some of our soaps with vegetable oils such as sweet almond oil.

Vegetable Waxes

A Quality Alternative

We have chosen to offer candles made of vegetable waxes. As an alternative to paraffin wax, the mixture of soya and coconut wax guarantees a remarkable quality of diffusion of the fragrances as well as a quality of melting (clean and colourless combustion). The non-toxic wax releases its scents more gradually, which makes it last longer.

The Cosmetic Black List

The Commitment

Today, the quality of the formulation of cosmetics is at the heart of our priorities. While we are committed to promoting organic and natural products, there are also ingredients that we refuse to use, such as allergens or endocrine disruptors. We therefore strive to offer the cleanest possible formulas, based on the list of undesirable substances drawn up by Que Choisir.

Our Making Process

We create the mixture of vegetable waxes and perfume in our Drôme workshops.

Once this stage is completed, we pour them into their container, add the wick and then refill them for a better hold of the wick in the wax.

Afterwards, the labels are glued by hand before closing the candles with their 1802 branded cap.

Since 2004, Chatelard 1802 has been manufacturing all the soaps we offer in its premises.

We currently have two production lines on which we mix, form and detail our soaps.

Each soap has its own recipe which our workshop managers guarantee.

Essential oil, eau de toilette, pillow mist, perfume diffuser ...

In our workshop in Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze we bottle, seal and label our products. Expert hands adjust the filling levels of the different bottles, adjust the labels and check the finished product.
